Cheyanne Schmitt and Troy Kilty of Wausau were united in marriage on April 10, 2010 at the St. John Lutheran Church (High Steeple). The Rev. Jeffery Lambracht, Edgar, St. John and Bethlehem Lutheran Churches, officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Alan and Lori Schmitt, Colby. The groom is the son of Kim and Valerie Weiler, Arcadia, OK, and the late Brenda Weiler.
The bride wore a white, taffeta strapless Symphony gown, with embroidered bodice and chapel train. She had a finger-tip-length veil with a ribbon edge. Her flowers were pink and orange gerbera daisies with bear grass loops. The bride’s bouquet also had pink and orange roses added.
The matron of honor was Autumn Bynum, Milwaukee, sister of the bride. Maid of honor was Janessa Schmitt, Colby, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Brittani Mertens, Colby, Amanda Oestreich, Colby, Kim Robida, Woodbury, MN and Miranda Hardt Green Bay, all friends of the bride.
Best men were Isaac Slipek, and Ben Uhlig, both of Abbotsford, friends of the groom. Groomsmen were Bill Bynum, Milwaukee, brother-in-law of the bride, Ryan Umlauft, Abbotsford, friend of the groom, Adam Frey, Wausau, friend of the groom, and Travis Weiler, Colby, brother of the groom.
Flower girl was Mya Sternhagen, Appleton. Ringbearer was Roman Schmitt, Colby.
Ushers were Shawn Schmitt, Colby and Nathan Westphal, Wausau.
Music during the ceremony was provided by Tiffany Roltgen.
The photographer was Cindy Neumann with CNaP Photography, Medford.
The reception was held at Stoney Creek Inn, Rothschild, with 280 guests attending.
The couple honeymooned in runaway Bay, Jamaica.
The bride is a 2003 graduate of Colby High School and a 2005 graduate of NorthCentral Technical College, where she earned an associates’ degree in architectural residential design. She is currently employed at Wausau Window and Wall Systems.
The groom is a 2003 graduate of Abbotsford High School and a 2005 graduate of Dunwoody college of Technology, where he earned an associates degree in architectural/mechanical design of HVAC. He is currently employed in HVAC inside sales and design at Ferguson Enterprises, Inc., Wausau.
