Hamus, Anne (Neitzel) (January 1, 1912 - July 4, 2010)
Anne Hamus, 98, Colby, formerly of Unity, passed away on July 4,
2010, at the Colonial House in Colby.
Anne was born on Jan. 1, 1912 in the town of Holway the daughter of Charles and Caroline (Reid) Neitzel.
She married Oscar Decker on November 25, 1929 they divorced.
She later married Theodore Hamus on May 26, 1982.
Anne farmed in the Town of Unity. She was also employed as a cook at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield. She retired in 1977. In October 2004 she became a resident at the Colonial House in Colby.
She is survived by her son Virgil (Beatrice) Decker of Unity, nine grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and 11 great-great grandchildren. She is further survived by her sister Mildred Hamm of Curtiss. She is preceded in death by her husband Theodore Hamus, daughter Norita Krause, five brothers and three sisters.
Her funeral service will be at the Maurina Schilling Funeral Home
in Abbotsford on Wednesday, July 7, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. Visitation
will be on Tuesday, July 6 from 4-8 p.m. at the Funeral Home in
Abbotsford and again one hour prior to the service on Wed. Burial
will follow the service on Wednesday at the Medford Evergreen
Cemetery.
