Hesgard, Delores E. (Waggoner) (May 6, 1929 - July 4, 2010)
Delores E. Hesgard, age 81, of Colby, passed away peacefully on July 4, 2010 at the St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield surrounded by her family.
Delores was born on May 6, 1929 in Janesville, WI the daughter of
Frank and Jennie (Ellis) Waggoner.
She graduated from Janesville High School. On Nov. 24, 1951, she married the late Stanley Hesgard in Dubuque, Iowa. Together, they raised six children and owned and operated the Town and Country Bar and Liquor Store in Colby. After 24 years they retired.
She was an active member at the Zion Lutheran Church and VFW
Auxiliary in Colby. Delores was a devoted grandmother and great
grandmother, always having room for the "kids" to stop
in.
Delores is lovingly survived by her children: Vicki (Warren)
Burgett of Janesville; Rebecca (Joseph) Cieslewicz of Waupun; Lonny (Debra) Hesgard of Hanover; Debbie (Bob) Monroe of Colby; Cindy (Mike) Epping of Colby; and Randy (Laurie) Hesgard of Colby. She is
the proud grandma of 15 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
She is further survived by her siblings Kathryn Warner of Beloit;
Iona Edwards of Janesville; Frank (Carleen) Waggoner of Janesville;
and Jacqueline Kennedy of Janesville. She is preceded in death by
her husband Stanley, her parents, her brother Rev. Ellis Waggoner
and granddaughter Allison Wittcamp.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, July 7, 2010 at the
Maurina Schilling Funeral Home in Abbotsford at 2:30 PM. The Rev.
Mark Neumann will officiate. Visitation will be from 1:00 until the
time of service on Wed at the funeral home. Burial of ashes will be
private.
