Jakel, Dennis G. (September 15, 1936 - June 24, 2010)

Dennis G. Jakel, 73, Greenwood, died Thursday, June 24, 2010.

He was born September 15, 1936, in Curtiss to the late Charles and Anna Jakel.

He was a US Air Force veteran and graduation of the University of Wisconsin. Dennis was a systems analyst at AT&T for more than 30 years, a member of Bell Pioneers and Our Lady of the Greenwood Catholic Church. 

An avid traveler, he enjoyed music, photography, reading, computers and time with his family and friends.

Survivors include his wife, Bernice (Hildebrad) Jakel; daughter Leslie (Robert) Tesch; son, Todd Jakel; three grandchildren; and siblings, Lucille Stiner, Carl Jakel, Dale (Rita) Jakel, Beatrice (Willis) Duncan. 

He was preceded in death by brothers, Arnold, Elmer and Robert; and a sister, Elaine Hermansen.

The Mass of Christian Burial was June 29 at Our Lady of the Greenwood Catholic Church. He will be laid to rest at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to Our Lady of the Greenwood Catholic Church. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.ghherrmann.com
