Gatz, Suzanne M. (13 AUG 1966)
St. Mary’s Catholic Church here was the scene Saturday, Aug. 13, 1966, of the wedding of Miss Suzanne Mary Gatz, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Gatz of Rt. 2, Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.), and Alfred George Bredlau, son of Mr. and Mrs. George A. Bredlau of Rt. 1, Neillsville.
Bouquets of multi-colored gladioli graced the altar for the double ring ceremony performed by the Rev. Aloysius Baumann.
For her wedding the bride chose a floor length gown that featured a lace bodice, long tapered sleeves and a Sabrina neckline. The semi-bouffant skirt of organza was highlighted by a detachable Watteau. A petal cloche held her sheer illusion bouffant veil. Her bouquet was a cascade arrangement of white glamellia with a large glamellia in the center surrounded by three smaller ones.
Miss Jeanette Kocher of Greenwood was her maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Mrs. Judith Loberg of Neillsville, and Mrs. Marian Kadolph of Loyal. Junior bridesmaid was Miss Cheryl Gatz. Kay Susa served as flower girl.
The attendants wore floor length empire sheath gowns of white linen, accent with Venice lace. Their bouffant bustle veils of white were secured to organza petal cloches. The bridesmaids carried pink gladioli clusters in a hand bouquet with trailing pink streamers. The flower girl’s basket held gladioli and pompons.
Michael Susa of Greenwood was the best man. Groomsmen were Orville Loberg of Neillsville and Larry Kadolph of Loyal. Ushers were Thomas Susa of Greenwood and Walter Wucherpfennig of Loyal. Nuptial music was furnished by the young women’s choir of St. Mary’s Church.
The bride, a 1965 graduate of Greenwood High School, has been employed in a manufacturing plant in Marshfield. Mr. Bredlau, a 1961 graduate of Neillsville High School, is engaged in farming.
On their return from a wedding trip to the western states they will reside on R. 1, Neillsville.
