Foelske, Veryl  (16 AUG 1948)

In a double ring, candlelight service on Monday, Aug. 16, Miss Veryl Mae Foelske, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Otto Foelske of Loyal, became the bride of DuWayne Jensen. son of Mr. and Mrs. William P. Jensen of Spencer. The Rev. Lee Holmes officiated at 8 p.m. rites in the Loyal Methodist church.

The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, wore a white satin gown, fashioned in princess style with a sweetheart neckline, long sleeves, coming to a point over the wrists, and lace insertions, starting at the neckline and widening into the train. Her French fingertip veil was caught to a sweetheart bonnet. A colonial bouquet of pink Delight roses and white asters was carried by the bride.

Mrs. Glenn Owens of Waukesha, a sister of the bride, was matron of honor. Her white organdy dress was styled with a flair skirt, fitted bodice, sweetheart neckline, and capped sleeves. She wore a Dutch bonnet and carried a colonial bouquet of various colored gladioli.

The bridesmaids, Catherine Habhegger and Norma Foelske, sister of the bride, were gowned identically in white organdy, fashioned with flared skirt, ruffled peplum, oval neckline and capped sleeves. Dutch bonnets were worn by both.

David Huber of Spencer was best man. LaVern Kronberger and James Lube, cousin of the groom, were the ushers.

Mrs. Foelske, mother of the bride, and Mrs. Jensen, mother of the groom, wore two piece crepe dresses, Mrs. Foelske’s being light blue and Mrs. Jensen’s light gray.

A reception for 60 guests was held in the church parlors following the ceremony.

Among the guests were the groom’s grandmother, Mrs. Minnie Jensen, of North Lake and the bride’s grandmother, Mrs. Anna Hutchins.

The bride is a graduate of the Loyal high school with the class of 1948. The groom graduated from the Spencer high school.

After a honeymoon in northern Wisconsin and Michigan, the Jensens will live in Spencer, where the groom is employed at the Jensen Moters.

Among the guests from out of town were Mr. and Mrs. Frank Jensen of Adams, Mrs. Robert Lucht of Madison, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Linn and children of Astico, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Gehrke and Mrs. William Owens of Waukesha.

The Loyal Tribune joins their many friends in wishing them a long and happy journey through life.
