Fravert, Bertha  (25 SEPT 1886 - 23 SEPT 1948)

Mrs. Fred Fravert, 62, died at 1:35 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 23, at her home here. Ceath was from a heart ailment.

Saturday afternoon funeral services were held at 1:45 o’clock in the Loyal funeral home and a t 2 o’clock in Trinity Lutheran church. Burial was in the Loyal Lutheran cemetery.

Mrs. Fravert (nee Gnotke) was born on Sept. 25, 1886, at Rib Lake, She received her education in the Rib Lake public school and on May 2, 1906, was married to Fred Fravert. She was a member of the Trinity Ladies Aid, and she has made Loyal her home for the past three years.

Surviving, besides her husband, are three sons, Edward of Spencer and Arthur and Alvin of Loyal; two daughters, Mrs. Herman (Ella) Schefus of Loyal and Mrs. Lester (Dorothy) Kenyon of Spencer; three sisters, Mrs. Otto (Minnie) Schalow of Pipestone, Minn., Mrs. Leo (Anna) Gummo of Rib Lake and Mrs. Meta Hauch of Rockford, Ill.; five brothers, Emil Gnotke of Rock Island, Ill., Frank Gnotke of Lake City, Minn., Charlie Gnotke of Wood, William Gnotke of Marshfield and Albert Gnotke of Rib Lake, and 14 grandchildren. One daughter, Margaret, passed away in infancy, and 8 brothers and sisters also preceded her in death.

Three beautiful hymns were sung by Mrs. Erwin Dux and Mrs. Verland Dux at the funeral service at which the Rev. J. C. Langholz officiated. Organist was Miss Eunice Langholz.

Those caring for the flowers were Mrs. George Otto, Mrs. August Luber, Mrs. Fred Kuester and Mrs. Elmer Zimmerman. Pallbearers were: George Otto, August Luber, Elmer Zimmerman, Louis Stange, Frank Duell and Fred Kuester.

Relatives from out of town who attended the funeral were; Mr. and Mrs. Otto Schalow of Pipestone, Minn.; Mr. and Mrs. Frank Gnotke of Lake City, Minn.; Charlie Gnotke of Wood; Mrs. Meta Hauch and son, Dorance, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Hauch and daughter, and Miss LaRue Gummo of Rockford, Ill.; Mr. and Mrs. William Gnotke and daughter, Beverly of Marshfield; Mr. and Mrs. Leo Gummo and Albert Gnotke of Rib Lake; Mr. and Mrs. Emil Gnotke of Rock Island, Ill.; Mrs. Lydia Warner, Mrs. Anna Plath and Kenneth Warner and daughter of Racine, Mr. and Mrs. Gust Kuester and sons of Waukesha, Mrs. Jack Weber of Cudahy.

Mr. and Mrs. Walter Trimberger, Mr. and Mrs. Hugo Trimberger, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Hillert and Mr. and Mrs. Archie Cleveland, all of Granton; Mr. and Mrs. Otto Fravert, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Fravert, Mr. and Mrs. Ervin Toburen and son, Albert Schwarze, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Osbourne and daughters, Mr. and Mrs. Leroy Fravert, Orland and Allan Fravert, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Marvin, Henry Marvin, Mr. and Mrs, Henry Vollrath and family, Mr. and Mrs. George Vollrath and family and Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Vollrath and family, all of Greenwood. Numbers of other relatives and friends from Loyal, Owen, Greenwood and Spencer also attended.

The Tribune extends to the bereaved its spmpathy in the loss of a beloved wife, mother and sister.
