Trojan, Mrs. (Serious injury - 16 Aug 1913)
Albert Trojan, our new telegraph operator, entertained his brother, Adolph, last week, and went with him Saturday to spend Sunday at his home in Eau Claire. While waiting for the train at Merrillan they received a telegram stating that their mother was seriously injured. On arriving at Eau Claire they found that while their parents were out driving the horse became frightened and reared, throwing Mrs. Trojan over the dashboard, and out of the buggy. Mr. Trojan, with great presence of mind, pulled the horse sidewise, thus preventing his wife from being jammed between the wheels and a telephone post. As it was she was badly bruised and sustained a broken limb, but is not otherwise seriously injured.
