Last Meeting for Teachers is Held (12 October 1929)
The last conference for beginning teachers was held at Riplinger, Saturday by Co. Supt. Margaret Walters and Supervising Teachers Miss Ada E. Smith and Miss Marjorie Hawley. There were 18 teachers present, 15 of whom were beginners.
The Riplinger School this year has added the first year of high school work to its course. Mrs. Mabel Prien is principal.
The State Convention for county superintendents will be held, Nov. 4 and 5. The State Teachers Association meeting will be held Nov. 6 to 9. Both meetings will be in Milwaukee.
The Northwestern Teachers Association meeting is held this week on Thursday and Friday at Eau Claire; all the city schools will be closed for teachers to attend and many rural schools.
