Hillert, Ida  (25 SEPT 1948)

Miss Ida Hillert of Evansville, Ill., became the bride of Ewald Hinklemann of Rockford, Ill., in a double-ring ceremony on Sept. 25. at the Zion American Lutheran church in the town of Grant. The Rev. Leonard A. Domke read the 2 p.m. service. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. August Hillert of Granton and the groom’s parents are Mr. and Mrs. Herman Hinklemann of Loyal.

The date chosen was also the 31^st wedding anniversary of the groom’s parents.

The bride’s gown was of white satin. A sweetheart neckline detailed the shirred bodice, which was styled with lace-edged sleeves. Her bouffant skirt ended 9in a long train, and she wore a full length net veil, inserted with lace. She carried a shower bouquet of white gladioli and red rosebuds.

Miss Lydia Hillert of Marshfield was her sister’s maid of honor. The bridesmaids were Miss Leona Hinklemann of Loyal, the groom’s sister, and Miss Helene Hillert of Marshfield, a cousin of the bride. All three attendants were gowned in white taffeta and carried bouquets of asters and wore matching headdresses.

The flower girl was Margaret Schlinsog. She was attired in white satin and carried a miniature bride’s bouquet.

Edmund Hinklemann of Loyal was best man for his brother. Groomsmen were Raymond Zipfel of Neillsville, the bride’s cousin, and Walter Hinklemann of Loyal, another brother of the groom. Donald Hillert, nephew of the bride, was the ringbearer. He carried the rings on a white satin pillow, trimmed with a purple orchid. Ushers were Martin Hillert of Granton and Arden Hinklemann of Neillsville.

A wedding at the home of the bride’s parents was attended by 55 guests.

Rockford, where the groom is employed by the National Lock Company, will be the home of the young couple.

Those from Loyal who attended the wedding were MR. and Mrs. Herman Hinklemann and family, Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Hinklemann and daughter, Carol, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Radue, and Ernest and Clara Hinklemann.
