Heun, Rose (17 JAN 1879 - 28 NOV 1948)
Mrs. Rose Heun, 69, died at 8:45 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 28, at her farm home in the town of Loyal. Death followed a long illness.
The requiem high mass was read at 9 o’clock Wednesday morning, Dec. 1, at St. Anthony’s Catholic church. The Rev. Aloys Zinthefer officiated. Burial was in the parish cemetery.
Pallbearers were Peter Rueth, Raphael Haas, William a. Theisen Sr., Bert Brown, John Elsinger Sr., and Nick Beaver.
Mrs. Heun (nee Heise) was born at Long Island, N.Y., on Jan 17, 1879, and was married in May, 1903, at Junction City to William Heun, who preceded her in death on Aug. 24, 1943.
After their marriage, the Heuns lived at Junction City, where he engaged in the creamery business. Later they farmed near Fenwood for six years. In 1917 Mr. and Mrs. Heun moved to their home in the town of Loyal.
Surviving are two sons, Lawrence and Ervin, both at home, and one daughter, Mrs. Nick (Rose) Yunk, of Rockford, Ill. Another son died in 1922.
