Polnaszek, Eric Edward (24 June 1946 - 27 July 2010)

 

Eric Edward Polnaszek, 64, passed away July 27, 2010, at his home in Conroe, TX.  He was born June 24, 1946, in Cudahy, WI, to the late Edward and Charlotte Polnaszek. 

 

He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Cheryl Polnaszek; daughters, Amy Johnson and husband Christopher, Alissa Greer, and Wendy Gonchar and husband Jason; grandchildren Chase, Bryce and Jordan Johnson, Kayla Teryn and Damon Greer, Taylor and Sydney Gonchar; sisters Carol Stasila and husband Bill and Melanie Galarowicz and husband Joe; brothers Charles Polnaszek and wife Jennifer, and Perry Polnaszek and wife Andrea.

 

Eric is also preceded in death by his brother David Polnaszek and nephew Ryan Galarowicz.

 

Eric served as an officer, coach, and advisor for the J. U. S. A. soccer organization and taught C. C. D. classes for several years at St. Joseph Catholic Church both in Placentia, CA.  After retiring from Raytheon Systems in June 2009, Cheryl and Eric moved to The Woodland, TX where he attended Good Shepherd Lutheran Church.

 

Funeral services were at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, July 31, 2010, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 9191 Cochran’s Crossing, The Woodlands, TX 77381.  Interment will follow in Forest Park The Woodlands Cemetery.  Visitation was held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Friday, July 30, 2010 at Forest Park The Woodlands Funeral Home.  For those desiring, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in memory of Eric.
