Shattuck, George H. (16 JUL 1918 - 1 AUG 2010)
OWEN -- George H. Shattuck, 91, of Owen, passed away Sunday, Aug. 1, 2010, at the Clark County Health Care Center in Owen. His funeral service will be held Thursday, Aug. 5, 2010, at the Curtiss Alliance Church at 11 a.m. The Rev. Carl Swarr will officiate. Visitation will be held at the church Thursday from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Burial will take place in the Riverside Cemetery in Withee.
George was born July 16, 1918, to George and Pearl (Oford) Shattuck. On November 10, 1940, he married Dorothy Vickers in Maplehurst. Together, they farmed in the town of Hoard. George also worked driving a truck. He enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman.
He is lovingly survived by his wife, Dorothy, of Owen; their three children: Roger (Sue) of Medford; Lynn (Joyce) of Owen; and Dale (Cindy) of Edmond, Okla. Proud grandpa of 11 grandchildren: Michael (Kelli) Shattuck, Tammy (Joe) Castillo, Robert (Terri) Shattuck, Daniel (Terri) Shattuck, Lynn (Nicole) Shattuck, Jeff Shattuck, Wendy (Ron) Lundt, Jaime (Kevin) Sherwood, Donna (Rob) Schroeder, David (Shelly) Shattuck, Darren (Brittany) Shattuck and 22 great-grandchildren. He will be missed by many other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his brother, Vernon Schley.
