Sandra A. Chamberlin, 71, McHenry, Ill., formally of Abbotsford, died Thursday, July 22, 2010, at Centegra Hospital, McHenry.


Visitation and service were held Tuesday, July 27 at Colonial Funeral Home, McHenry, Ill.

McHENRY - Sandra A. Chamberlin, 71, of McHenry, died Thursday, July 22, 2010, at Centegra Hospital - McHenry.

She was born April 10, 1939, in Abbotsford, Wis., to John and Esther (Stewart) Lindberg.

She loved animals, gardening and spending time with her family. She enjoyed holidays, especially Christmas. Family always came first, and her children were her life. She lost her battle of cancer after fighting it for more than three years.

Survivors include her children, Ernest John (Mary) Faudel of Wonder Lake, Michael B. (Christine) Faudel of Island Lake and Cheryl (Mike) Kalter of McHenry. She was the fond grandmother of Alicia Jackson and Heather and Michael Faudel; great-grandmother of Akyah Jackson; and sister of John (Jeannie) Lindberg, Wayne (Dolly) Lindberg, Robert (Donna) Lindberg and Lenore (Gary) Gibert.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Doris Wolfe, Phyliss Leu and Ruby Sossman; and her brother, Darryl Lindberg.

The visitation will be from 4 p.m. Tuesday, July 27, until the 7:30 p.m. service at Colonial Funeral Home, 591 Ridgeview Drive, McHenry. Interment will be private.

Memorials, if desired, may be made to the American Cancer Society.
