Devine, William "Bill" C. (June 11, 1946 - July 26, 2010)
William "Bill" C. Devine, 64, Medford, died Monday, July 26 at Memorial Health Center emergency room in Medford, where he was taken earlier by ambulance.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 31 at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Medford, with Father Gerard Willger and Deacon Joseph Stefancin officiating. Burial will be at Holy Rosary Catholic Cemetery in Medford. Pallbearers will be Ronnie and John Brost, Scott Thompson, Chad Lippert, Tim German and Mike Loucks.
Visitation will be held at Hemer Funeral Home in Medford on Friday,
July 30 from 4 to 7 p.m., with a 6:45 p.m. prayer service, and on
Saturday from 9 to 10:15 a.m.
William Devine was born June 11, 1946 in Marshfield to the late
George and Barb (Enrenreich) Devine. He was a graduate of Columbus
High School in Marshfield.
On May 17, 1969 in Catawba, he married Kathryn J. Lallemont, who
preceded him in death on June 6, 2007.
He worked for Conseco, now Enerquip, in Medford where he was an
inspector/welder for 20 years. He then worked at Kraft in Medford
as a general laborer until his retirement in June 2010.
He was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church and NRA, and
volunteered for the Boy Scouts Troop No. 336 when his boys were
young. He enjoyed fishing, target shooting, his dogs, and hunting,
and had gone on an African safari.
Survivors include two sons, Troy (Janice) of Colby and Toby (Ann)
Devine of Medford; a daughter, Jodi (Paul) Schwantes of Rothschild;
a brother, Bob (Sue) of Racine; four sisters, Ruth (Frank) Brost of
Medford, Pat Lippert and Mary (Paul) Buffington, both of
Pittsville, and Jean (Jim) Bruhn of Maple Grove, Minn.; a
sister-in-law, Yvonne Devine of Wisconsin Rapids; six
grandchildren; nieces and nephews; and other relatives and
friends.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a
brother, Ray.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to his family to be
designated at a later date.
