Oehmichen, Margaret (Weichelt) #2 (August 28, 1928 - July 27, 2010)

 

Margaret Oehmichen, 81, Colby, died July 27, 2010 at Aspirus Hospice, Wausau.

 

She was born August 28, 1928, in the town of Day, daughter of the late Herman and Mary Weichelt. 

 

On October 9, 1948, she married James Oehmichen at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Hewitt. 

 

Margaret and James were married 35 years and owned and operated a dairy farm in the town of Colby. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. 

 

Survivors include her children, Larry (Carol) Oehmichen, Colby, Darlene (Gene) Simmerman, Wausau, and Julie (Michael) Spalding, Weston; four grandsons; three great-grandchildren; and six sisters, Deloris Kohlstedt, Lombard, IL, Neva Zabielski, Riverside, CA, Beth Hutchinson, Marshfield, Mabel (Arnie) Boehning, Marshfield, Meta (Archie) Hoffmann, Nekoosa and Hildy (Vern) Revling, Marshfield. 


Funeral services will be on Saturday, July 31, 2010 at the Zion Lutheran Church in Colby at 11:30 a.m. Visitation will be held on Sat. at the church from 9:30- 11:30 a.m. The Rev. Mark Neumann will preside. Burial will be at the Colby Memorial Cemetery.


In Lieu of flowers memorials are appreciated to Zion Lutheran Church.
