Mike Friedman, head football coach at Greenwood High School, will be leaving Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.) at the end of this school year to accept a position as head football coach and assistant track coach at Watertown, Wis.
In the four years that Friedman has been at Greenwood, his teams have compiled a very fine 29 - 7 record. His Indians have outscored their opponents, on the average 31.8 to 12.6. The Indian offense has gained an average of 300 yards per game, while the defense has allowed less than 200 yards per game. The rushing average is a mighty impressive 6.7 years per play. A somewhat higher passing average brings the total offensive output up to 7.7 years per try from scrimmage.
Indian fans, of course, will be disappointed to see him leave, but will long remember him for the fine name he has built up for Greenwood in athletics.
