Krall, Richard "Dick" Frank #2 (15 June 1942 - 12 August 2010)
Richard Krall, 68, of Neillsville, died Thursday, Aug. 12, 2010, in Neillsville.
Richard Frank Krall was born June 15, 1942, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield, the son of Aloys and Eleanore (Kolb) Krall. He attended St. Mary’s Catholic Grade School and graduated from Neillsville High School in 1960. After graduation, he worked for a couple of years at Short’s Fur Farm and then was drafted into the United States Army. Richard was stationed in Germany and served in the Army from 1964 to 1966. When he returned to Neillsville he went back to work for Short’s, first as a truck driver and later as a lead man. He worked there for many years before retiring.
Richard was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Neillsville. He was also a member of the Haugen-Richmond American Legion Post #73 in Neillsville. He enjoyed watching the Green Bay Packers and the Milwaukee Brewers and he was also a big NASCAR fan.
He is survived by his three brothers, Thomas (Karlene) Krall of Big Bend, Terrence (Mary) Krall of Slinger and LeRoy (LeeAnn) Krall of West Salem; a sister, Kathleen (Anthony) Lux of Denver, CO, and nine nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Richard was held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Aug. 16, 2010, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Neillsville, with visitation one hour prior to the service. The celebrant was Fr. Woodrow H. Pace. Music was provided by Ronald Resong, organist, and St. Mary’s Choir. Interment was in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery, with Military Honors accorded by the Neillsville Veteran’s Council.
Honorary Casketbearers are Floyd Short, Bill Short, Franklin Boh and Allen Naedler.
Casketbearers are his nephews Joshua, Justin, Scott, Matt, David, Ryan and Nathan Krall and Tom and Chris Lux.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 1813 Black River Road, Neillsville, WI 54456
