Dorothy M. Carlson (nee VanderHyden) was born to eternal life on Thursday, July 22, 2010, at the age of 87.
Loving wife of the late Clifford Carlson. Best friend and mother of Murray C., Dena (Mike) Squaires, Sue (Brian Wiedenhoeft) Gardner, Karin (Neal) Horbinski, Jean Carlson and Mary Kay (Steve) Blatnik. Proudest grandmother of Timothy Shanahan, Katrina Cooper, Sarah Macias, Lauren Squaires, Lindsay Gardner, Tyler Blatnik and Robb Gardner and four great-grandchildren.
Dear sister of the late Murvil, Wilferd Jr., Richard, Ann Lindstrom and Maisie. Dorothy will also be missed by other relatives and friends.
Dorothy attended St. Bernard’s grade school and Thorp High School, graduating in 1941.
She was a retired radio dispatcher for the West Allis Police and Fire Department.
