Herrick, Jack #2 (27 JUL 1878 - 28 DEC 1965)
Jack Herrick, 87, Willard (Clark Co., Wis.), died at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 28, 1965, at the Memorial Hospital in Neillsville, where he had been admitted the previous day.
Services were held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Hill Funeral Home here with the Rev. William Nikolai, pastor of Holy Family Church, Willard, officiating. Burial will be made in the Greenwood Cemetery.
Mr. Herrick was born July 27, 1878, in Yugoslavia, and came to the United States on July 4, 1900. He had lived in Pittsburgh, Pa. and Houston Texas before settling in Mineral, Kansas.
His marriage to Anna Pintar took place July 26, 1902, at Kansas, and they made their home there until 1914 when they came to Willard.
Mr. Herrick had served as supervisor of the town of Mead for 15 years, and was a member of the Croatian Fraternal Union Lodge.
In addition to his wife, survivors include six sons, Joseph of St. John’s Newfoundland; Jack, Jr., Stillwater, Minn.; Florian, Colby; Charles, Greenwood; M. Sgt. Edward, Austin, Texas; and Robert, Willard; seven daughters, Mrs. Andrew )Ann) Petkovsek, Peoria, Ill.; Mrs. David (Eve) Hallowell, Camarillo, Calif.; Mrs. Earl (Mary) Holmes, Studio City, Calif.; Mrs. Dean (Frances) Murphy, Marshall, Ill.; Mrs. Harold (Lucille) Hawley, Milwaukee; Mrs. Oliver (Donna) Smith, St. Paul; and Mrs. Cletus Susa, Willard; 25 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sisters and two brothers.
