Gray, Lavern (31 DEC 1949)
Miss Lavern Gray, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Gray of Loyal, became the bride of Earl Johnson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer of Wis. Rapids, on Saturday morning, Dec. 31, 1949, in the rectory of SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Wis. Rapids.
The bride wore a gray-blue suit with black accessories. Her corsage consisted of pink roses interspersed with white flowers.
Miss Natalie Scanlan of Wis. Rapids, the maid of honor, was attired in a gray suit with black accessories. Her corsage was also pink roses and white flowers.
Orville Johnson, who is home on furlough, was his brother’s only attendant.
Following the ceremony, a dinner and supper were served at the home of the groom’s parents.
The groom, who was in the Navy Medical Corps for a year, is employed by the Consolidated Water Power and Paper Co. in Wis. Rapids. Mrs. Johnson took teacher’s training at college for a year.
To the newlyweds, the Loyal Tribune extends its wishes for a long and happy married life.
