Free, Inez (31 DEC 1949)
Miss Inez Free, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Free of Loyal (Clark Co., Wis.), and LaVern Spuhler, son of Mr. and Mrs. Norton O. Spuhler of Marshfield, exchanged marriage vows at 9 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 31, 1949. Singing the nuptial mass at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Marshfield was the Rev. Fr. Raymond Peters.
The bride chose a forest green suit highlighted with white accessories. A white hat and shoulder corsage of red and white roses completed her ensemble.
Her only attendant, Miss Dorothy Laufenberg of Milwaukee, a cousin of the groom, was attired in a navy blue suit, white hat and accessories. Her corsage was composed of red and white daisies.
Attending the groom as best man was peter Grossbier of Milwaukee, a friend.
Out of town guests included: Mrs. Elizabeth Schleck of Madison, Mr. and Mrs. Leland Hedler, Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Francis and daughter, Dana Lee, and Mr. and Mrs. Ervin Witt, all of Milwaukee, and Mr. and Mrs. Harold Searls of Granton.
Following the ceremony, a dinner and supper were served at the home of the bride’s parents. Following a honeymoon spent in southern Wisconsin, the couple is now home to friends at 2711 Richfield St., Marshfield.
Mrs. Spuhler is a graduate of the Loyal High School, with the class of 1949, and her husband, who is employed by the Roddis Plywood Corp. in Marshfield, graduated from the Marshfield High School in 1948.
The Loyal Tribune joins their man friends in wishing them a long and happy journey through life.
