Hillegass, Esther (9 NOV 1901 - 6 APR 1950)

 

Mrs. Harold Hillegas, formerly known as Esther Lyle (the wife of Rev. Harold Hillegas, pastor of the Wausau Bible Church), passed away at 48 years of age at 9:15 p.m. Thursday, April 6, 1950, at the Holy Cross hospital in Merrill, after a lingering illness.

 

Funeral services were held at 9:30 last Monday morning at the Hildensperger and Kostuck Funeral Home in Wausau and at 10 o’clock in the Wausau Bible Church, with the Rev. C. R. Williams of Areno officiating.

 

The body was taken to Fox Lake for interment.

 

A native of Fox Lake, Mrs. Hillegas was born on Nov. 9, 1901, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. William J. Lyle.  She was married to Rev. Hillegas in Wausau on Dec. 23, 1921.

 

Surviving besides the widower are a daughter, Helen, at home and two sisters, Mrs. Albert (Elsie) Wehling of Loyal and Mrs. Ward (Norma) Hillegas of Neenah.
