Thomas, Pvt. Larry Edward (6 February 1947 - 14 May 1969)
Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday at the United Church of Christ at Pittsville for Pvt. Larry Edward Thomas, 22, Pittsville, who was fatally wounded while on patrol duty with a Marine Corps squad May 14, near Da Nang Vietnam. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Thomas, route 1, Pittsville.
The Rev. Carl Hathaway pastor, and the Rev. Willard Sherman will officiate and interment will follow in Brook Lawn Memory Gardens.
Visitations may be made at the Hansen Funeral Home at Marshfield from Saturday noon until 1 p.m. Sunday, and then at the church.
Larry Thomas was born Feb. 6, 1947, at Eau Claire. He came with his parents to Pittsville in November 1960, and was a 1966 graduate of Pittsville High School. He was graduated from (balance of article missing.)
