Markee, Pfc. Terry C. (21 June 1918 - 29 December 1942)

 

Final burial rites are scheduled for Wednesday afternoon at 2 o’clock at the Hansen Funeral Home for Pfc. Terry C. Markee, 24, son of Mr. and Mrs. James Oscar Markee, 410 E. Bakerville Street, who was killed in action in New Guinea Dec. 29, 1942.

 

The Rev. Arthur R. Oates of the First Presbyterian Church will have charge of the service at the funeral home and the American Legion will conduct the military rites at Hillside, where interment will take place in the family lot.

 

The remains are expected to arrive Tuesday night at 10:30 o’clock and will be taken to the funeral home until the time of the services the following day. 

 

The serviceman was born in Marshfield June 21, 1918, and was graduated from Marshfield High School with the class of 1937.  After his graduation and before entering service he worked and traveled extensively throughout the United States and Canada.

 

Surviving besides his parents are two sisters, Mrs. Edward (Patty) Brill, Dover, N. J., and Mrs. John (Jean) Paulin, La Crosse.
