Sayles, James A. (17 OCT 1874 - 28 MAY 1950)
James Arthur Sayles, son of Mr. and Mrs. James C. Sayles was born on Oct. 17, 1874, at Saylesville, in Dodge County. He moved to Loyal (Clark Co., Wis.) in August 1900, living here until he moved to Osseo.
On Apr. 14, 1904, he was united in marriage to Minnie Griffin of Spencer, and two sons were born to this union.
Mr. Sayles passed away at his home in Osseo on Sunday morning, May 28, at the age of 75 years, after a lingering illness.
He is survived by his wife and sons, Benjamin of Wausau and Russell of Osseo, a sister, Mrs. Morris Weaver of Owen, and six grandchildren. Two brothers preceded him in death.
Funeral services were conducted from the Oftedahl Funeral Home in Osseo on Tuesday afternoon, May 30. Graveside services were held at the family lot in the Loyal Cemetery, prior to burial.
