Clark County (College Notes - 2010)

Jennifer Schmidt of Neillsville graduated from Luther College, Decorah, IA, in ceremonies held Sunday, may 23.  She is the daughter of Kay Anason of Neillsville and Tim Schmidt of Eau Claire. She majored in management.

The College of Nursing and Health Sciences at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire announced nursing scholarship recipients for the 2010- 11 academic year.  Senior Amanda Meshnick, Neillsville, received the Robert and Judith Mickelson Scholarship, established by two UW-Eau Claire alumni to benefit nursing students of proven scholastic ability.  Judith Mickelson was the lead nursing coordinator for the Appleton Medical Center.

The University of Wisconsin-Platteville has announced the freshman and continuing student scholarship recipients for the 2010- 11 school year.   Amount these is Sam Scholze, Humbird, who received the Richard W. Broderick Scholarship in the amount of $1,000.

The following area students were among the 2010 graduates of Western Technical College, La Crosse.

Merrillan - Christine Brown, supervisory management; Amanda Matalas, business management and Bridget Pokorny, architectural technology.
