Hutchins, Oscar D. (22 JAN 1882 - 14 JUN 1950)
Oscar Dean Hutchins, 68, died of a heart attack which struck him shortly after 12 o’clock noon Wednesday, June 14, 1950, while visiting at the home of his niece, Mrs. William Erickson, at Curtiss (Clark Co., Wis.).
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. last Saturday at the Loyal Methodist Church, with Rev. Lee H. Holmes officiating. Burial was in the Loyal Cemetery. Pallbearers were: Henry Boe, Jesse Raab, Herb White, H. E. Catlin, Ray A. Prior and Ben Grambsch.
Mr. Hutchins was born on Jan. 22, 1882 in Osceola, Fond du Lac Co. At the age of five years he came to Clark County with his parents, who settled at Unity. Most of his life was spent in Loyal, where he operated a filling station.
He is survived by one brother, Warren Hutchins of Loyal; four sisters, Mrs. Henry Nichols of Marshfield, Mrs. Charles Smith of Rapid City, S.D., Mrs. Ben Dietsche of Spencer and Mrs. Jess Lyon of Hingham, Mont., and 25 nieces and nephews.
His parents and two brothers preceded him in death.
