Mikelson, Anstice B. (14 OCT 1950)

Miss Anstice Beverly Mikelson became the bride of Calvin N. Capelle in a candlelight services at the Grace Lutheran Church in Eau Claire at 8 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 14, 1950.  The Rev. J. N. Quello read the double ring ceremony.  Chrysanthemums of orchid and yellow decorated the altar.

The bride, who is the daughter of Mrs. Emil Mikelson of Eau Claire, was given in marriage by her grandfather, A.H. Loomis.  The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Philip G. Capelle.

The bride’s gown was of white chiffon velvet, princess style, with train.  Seed pearls decorated the bodice.  Her fingertip length veil fell from a beaded crown.  She carried a shower bouquet of white carnations.

Miss Ada Capelle of Eau Claire, sister of the groom, was maid of honor, and another sister, Dorothy Capelle of Loyal and Ruth Tyler of Eau Claire were bridesmaids.  The attendants wore taffeta gowns, the maid of honor in green and the bridesmaids in orchid, with gauntlets to match.  They carried bouquets of chrysanthemums in orchid and yellow.

The bride’s brother, Arthur Mikelson, was best man.  The groom’s brother, Delmar Capelle, and his cousin, Virgil Schumann of Cherokee, Ia., were groomsmen.  Ushers were Darold Steward and Tom Mattson of Eau Claire, Ray Oestreich of Loyal and Gerald Luchterhand of Spencer.

Richard Meyer, cousin of the bride, sang, with Paul Lundquest at the organ.

A reception was held in the church parlors after the ceremony.

The bride wore a royal blue jersey dress with beige accessories when the couple left for their trip to the southern states.  After their return, they will make their home on the farm of the groom’s parents in the town of Loyal.

The groom graduated from the Loyal High School with the class of 1944.

To the newlyweds, the Loyal Tribune extends its wishes for a long and happy married life.
