A. S. Leason is at Sheboygan and Milwaukee this week on a visit. He went Sunday.
Mrs. John Hein with her little son of Tony is here visiting her sisters, the Misses Dignin.
Mrs. Mike Conlan has been away for over a week for the purpose of undergoing a surgical operation.
T. B. Roach, Wm., Geo. and John Streeter are here from Lake Mills sizing us up. You’re in Paradise, gentlemen.
Burt Scholtz, who has been working for C. S. Stockwell on his surveying trip, cut his foot quite badly Monday and had to come home to have it attended to.
Miss Emma Van Nostrand returned home last Thursday night from a visit with relatives at Oconomowoc.
Andrew Hokenson will work as scaler for Gus Hosely at Mercer, and goes up this week to remain for the winter.
Wm. Hollenback, editor of the New London Republican, was here this week visiting his uncle Matt Wells and family.
James O’Neill and daughter Marion returned from their trip to the British Isles and France early this week. It was a pleasant trip throughout and thoroughly enjoyed.
Charley Hutchinson, teacher of manual training in the city schools of Duluth, and a former Neillsville boy, will be married Sept. 18th at Minneapolis to Miss Hermina Hille.
Mrs. Ira Niles of Spring Valley is here visiting her sister, Mrs. S. Loy. Mrs. Loy is also entertaining Gene Palms and wife of Tioga and Chas. Bass and family of Lynn, relatives.
Chas. Bacon and wife were in the city this week. The gentleman is the son of Everett Bacon, and nephew of Madams Bailey and Sturdevant, and was born and reared here, residing in the far west now.
Rev. C. A. Southard of Waterville, Maine, is visiting his brother, Warren A. Southard. He has been here before, and is remembered as an enthusiastic G. A. R. man, and an eloquent public speaker.
Horace Weston, of Minneapolis, was in town Saturday, on his way to Greenwood. He looks prosperous and holds an important position in the freight department of one of the big railroads centering there.
