Ayers, Julia (6 Mar 1880 - 6 Sept 1913)

Mrs. Erv Ayers died last Saturday evening at St. Paul where she had gone to take treatment for a goiter.  She had been ill for several months, but her condition had not been dangerous until last week.

She was born Julia Carlson to Mr. and Mrs. Hans Carlson in Christiensen, Norway, March 6, 1880, and at the age of 14months came with her parents and settled in Neillsville.  She was united in marriage to Erv Ayers in October, 1894.  She was a capable wife and a conscientious mother and leaves two daughters, Ruth and Evelyn, to mourn her loss.  She is also survived by her husband, mother, sisters Mrs. Thornton Gates and Mrs. Guy Jones, and brothers Carl, Hans and Thomas.  Also by Miss Sefa Johnson.

The remains were brought here Tuesday and the funeral was held yesterday afternoon at 2 o’clock, services being held at the Norwegian Lutheran Church.
