Pleasant Ridge (18 Sept 1913)
There was a mistake in the names of those attending the high school. It should have stated Walter Jahr, and the name Mary Huckstead was left out.
Mrs. Wm. Ruege spent most of last week with her daughter, Mrs. Alvin Eisentraut. She also visited at R. Selves and several other places.
Aleada Brown returned home Sunday from a three weeks visit at Stevens’ Point.
Joe Brown attended the funeral of Daniel Kennedy last Sunday in Neillsville.
Sadie Blackman spent Sunday at home, returning to Columbia Sunday.
Bert Swann went to Eau Claire Tuesday to bring his wife home from the hospital.
Geo. Wilding and wife, accompanied by C. Kuetchenmeister and wife, took an auto trip through the southern part of the state last week. They returned home Saturday.
Gertrude Howard has been telephone girl at Granton this week and last.
Mr. and Mrs. Ed Selves spent Sunday with their brother, John Howard, and family.
Mrs. Jim Hughes entertained at dinner last Thursday. Several of the WCTU ladies from Neillsville were there.
Doc. Schweinier was called to the Blackman farm last Wednesday to attend a colt which was injured by stepping on a nail.
Frank Ruddock and family spent Sunday at Geo. Swann’s.
Margaret and Isabella Lowe spent Sunday at Joe Counsell’s.
