Bobby Windsor was down from his town of Mayville home Thursday and said to the Phonograph man that the road running from the Town line north to Dorchester, one mile west of the Town line, is in a horrible condition; That there has been no work done on that road to am’t to anything for fifteen years. - Miss Bertha Meyers, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Meyers of Green Grove, departed Saturday night for Jacobi, La., where she will spend the winter with the family of her uncle, Herman Meyers, and will remain longer if suited with the country. - Wm. F. Rowe, an attorney of Chippewa Falls, was in the city the other day and filed notice with the city clerk and mayor of a damage suit against the city in favor of Mrs. McDonald, who was injured by a fall at Bredemeyer’s store. We can’t see what the city has to do with it, as it is on private property. -- Phonograph
