Water Analysis (Notice - 1902)
Analysis of water from the following sources was recently made with these results:
Black River water is badly polluted and should not be used for domestic purposes. While Black River ice is not absolutely safe, it is far preferable to that of O’Neill Creek.
The water and ice of O’Neill Creek are both badly contaminated and consequently a probably source of typhoid infection.
Water from the well in rear of Ludington’s shop is very badly tainted and utterly unfit for use.
The prevalence of small pox in Wisconsin and neighboring states makes vaccination advisable.
