Greenwood, Wisconsin Area (February - 1902)
H. W. Hunt has been laid up for the past two weeks with rheumatism, but is improving at present. - Henry Cook had a narrow escape while felling trees in the woods west of town the first of the week. A tree fell against a smaller one which broke and struck him on the back and hip, crushing him to the ground, but fortunately not breaking any bones. - Len Howard and wife came up from Neillsville Saturday for a visit with her people, A. C. Holmes and family. Sunday’s storm helped them to prolong their visit. - J. H. Herman of Columbus came up Wednesday evening to interview Erastus Bowen regarding a farm in Clark County. He recently sold a farm there for $80 an acre and now wants to get an improved farm here. -- Gleaner
