Klemetson, Morris (8 Aug. 1888 - 11 Feb. 1959)
Morris Klemetson, 70, Curtiss, died Wednesday morning of a heart attack. Mr. Klemetson had gone out to start the car to take his son, Harvey, to his work in Abbotsford, and returned to the home when he was stricken with a fatal heart attack.
Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at Owen at the Hoeper and Kraut Funeral Home, and interment was made in the Norwegian Lutheran cemetery at Curtiss.
Ralph Johnson, minister of the Jehovah Witnesses, officiated at the rites. Mrs. Andrew Knopps, accompanied by her husband, sang, "Jehovah God My Shepherd" and "God’s Righteous Requirement."
Grandsons served as pall bearers: Alfred, Bob and Delbert Uhlig, Norbert Hartl, Adrian Strom and Dale Ellison.
All of the children attended the funeral. Relatives came from Sherwood, Milwaukee, Unity, La Crosse, and Coon Rapids, Minn.
Mr. Klemetson, who was born in Oslo, Norway, Aug. 8, 1888, came to America with his parents when only a child. He lived in the town of Mayville where he was engaged in farming and as a carpenter. He retired five years ago.
He and Kate Schiszik were married at Curtiss Sept. 11, 1911. To this union four sons and four daughters were born, all of whom survive. They are Lawrence, Floyd, Harvey and Laverne and Mrs. Emil (Ellen) Uhlig, all of Curtiss; Mrs. Paul (Alvina) Eckes, Sherwood; Mrs. Alvin (Laura) Uhlig, Abbotsford; and Mrs. Louis (Doris) Hartl, Unity.
There are 22 grand children, and eight great grand children. One sister, Mrs. Glen Schwandt, of Curtiss, also survives.
