Herman, Ella (10 Oct. 1881 - 6 Feb. 1959)
Miss Ella Hernan, 78, died Feb. 6 and burial was made in the family lot at Cassville. Miss Hernan, a resident of the town of Mayville since 1935, has been spending the winter months in Prairie du Chien with her brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. M. V. Burris, for the past years.
Between holidays, she went to Chicago to visit Bob Dawson, who had made his home her with Miss Hernan until his graduation from high school. While in Chicago, she suffered a heart attack on Feb. 5 and was taken that night to Mt. Sinai hospital where death occurred the following morning.
Ella Hernan was born Oct. 10, 1881, in Waterloo township, Grant county. She also lived in Warren, Ohio, prior to coming to the town of Mayville.
Miss Hernan is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Eva Bausch of Cassville, and Mrs. M. V. (Sabina) Harris of Prairie du Chien. A brother, Michael, town of Mayville, preceded her in death.
Surviving also are three nieces: Vivian Higgins of Cassville, Faith Plomin of Cuba City and Phyllis Egan of Chicago and one nephew, John Hernan of Milwaukee.
