Daellenbach, Arnold G. (18 June 1916 - 16 Feb. 1959)
Funeral services for Arnold G. Daellenbach, 42, who was the victim of a heart attack in Milwaukee, were held Thursday afternoon at Omro. The Rev. H. D. Boyer conducted the rites at 2:00 o’clock at Grace Lutheran church of which the deceased was a member. Burial was made in the Omro cemetery.
Mr. Daellenbach, a driver for Radford Trucking Company of Oshkosh, had discharged his consignment Monday afternoon, in Milwaukee, and was returning when he was stricken with a fatal attack at the wheel. He had turned the ignition off on the truck. Artificial respiration was applied almost immediately but he was pronounced dead on arrival at a hospital.
Arnold Daellenbach, son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Daellenbach, Abbotsford, was born in the town of Mayville, June 18, 1916. He attended Pleasant Hill school and was graduated from the Abbotsford high school.
On Dec. 14, 1939, he was married in Highwood, Ill., to the former Dorothy Rockow, of Medford.
His widow and daughter, Karen, 18, survive him. Other survivors include his parents, five sisters, Mrs. Robert (Leona) Carien, of Northbrook, Ill.; Mrs. Vincent (Luella) Struglinski, Chicago; Mrs. James (Anita) Foster, Colby; Mrs. Nicholas (Lorraine) Schmidt, Des Plaines, Ill.; and Mrs. Harold (Margaret) Papenfuss, Brookfield, Wisconsin.
Relatives and friends from this vicinity who attended the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Fred Daellenbach, John Daellenbach, Emil Daellenbach and John Bremer, Abbotsford; Mr. and Mrs. James Foster and Judy, Colby; Mrs. Theodore Hoeft, Chippewa Falls; and Mr. and Mrs. Lester Kloth, Dorchester.
Pallbearers at the internment were Tony Switlick, Ira Redin, Bernard Sielaft, all of Omro, Herbert Winkler, Oshkosh; Vincent Struglinksi, Chicago, and Harold Papenfuss, Brookfield.
