Pals, Verdonna (Marriage - 14 Mar. 1959)
Miss Verdonna Pals and Richard A. Wiskow exchanged marriage vows Saturday afternoon, in the Presbyterian church. The Rev. Lawrence E. Faivre read the double ring service at 2:30 o’clock. Mrs. Faivre was organist during the ceremony.
Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Pals, Abbotsford, and Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Wiskow of Merrill.
The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, wore a floor length gown of Chantilly lace featuring long sleeves and a scoop neckline with sequin heart trim. The lace skirt was designed with a scalloped edge falling over a net flounce. A crown of pearlized orange blossoms held her veil. She wore a pearl choker, gift of the groom, and carried a bouquet of red roses and white carnations.
Miss Lorraine Pals was her sister’s maid of honor and Mrs. Paul Thompson, Jr., of Wausau, was bridesmaid. They wore blue waltz length dresses of nylon sheer styled with scoop neck and rolled collar, caught with tiny bows. They wore mitts with their sleeveless dresses and had matching hats. Blue and white carnations were combined in their bouquets.
