Ruppert, Edward (20 Oct. 1870 - 12 Apr. 1959)
Funeral services for Edward Ruppert, 88, who died at his home in the town of Hull at 2:00 a.m. Sunday, will be held Thursday afternoon at 3:00 p.m. at the Presbyterian church, Abbotsford, with the Rev. Lawrence Faivre officiating. Internment will be made in the Abbotsford cemetery. Mr. Ruppert was a member of the church and a former officer.
The body is lying in state at the Lulloff Funeral Home at Colby.
Mr. Ruppert was born Oct. 20, 1870, in Michigan. He came to the Colby community at an early age and spent nearly all of his life here. In 1897, he was married to Louise Grauman who preceded him in death in 1957.
Five children survive him: Mrs. Frank (Edna) Pautz, Abbotsford; Mrs. Fred (Hattie) Wucherpfennig, Forman, N. Dak.; Mrs. Al (Viola) Hefley, Chicago; Harold Ruppert, Colby; and Robert Ruppert, Laramie, Wyo.
Also surviving are 13 grand children, six great grand children, one brother, Frank, of Washington, and a sister, Mrs. Emma Anderson, of Racine.
One brother preceded him in death.

Funeral services for Edward Ruppert, 88, who died April 12 were held Thursday afternoon at the Presbyterian church, with the Rev. Lawrence Faivre officiating.
Pallbearers for the internment, made in the Abbotsford cemetery, were Edward Kriplean, L. F. Loucks, Ben Merwin, Howard Merwin, Herman Podevels, and Frank Provinski.
Relatives from away who attended the services were Mr. and Mrs. Robert Ruppert, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Ruppert, Mr. and Mrs. Pat Curtiss, all of Laramie, Wyo.; Mr. and Mrs. William Ruppert, Mukwanego; Mr. and Mrs. Al Hefley, James Anderson, Chicago, Mrs. Emma Anderson, Racine; Mrs. Walter Kerswill, Wausau; Mrs. Madge Bennett, Merton Bennett, Unity; Albert Jeske, Spencer; Mr. and Mrs. Fred Wucherpfennig, Mrs. Boyd Groetum, and daughter, Forman, N.D., Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Dooley, Minneapolis; Miss Joan and Miss Mary Pautz, Stevens Point.
