Fischer, Janice (Marriage - 6 June

The Rev. A. W. Heindl of Fennimore officiated at the exchange of wedding vows and nuptial High Mass in which his brother, James and Miss Janice Fischer were united in marriage. The 10:00 o’clock ceremony took place Saturday morning at St. Mary’s Catholic church at Colby.

Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Carl Fischer of Colby and Mr. and Mrs. Nic Heindl of Abbotsford.

The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, wore a floor length gown of Chantilly lace over satin, featuring a scalloped neck line and long sleeves. A crown of sequins held her finger tip veil. She carried a cascade bouquet of red and white roses.

Mrs. Valgene Fischer of Colby was matron of honor for her sister-in-law. Miss Bonnie Fischer of Colby, sister, and Miss Shirley Kalepp of Abbotsford, were bridesmaids.

They were dressed alike in frocks of blue nylon lace over taffeta. They wore matching hats and carried cascade bouquets of white and yellow chrysanthemums.

Urban Heindl of Abbotsford was best man for his brother and Valgene Fischer of Colby and Jerry Heindl of Green Bay, cousin, were groomsmen.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Colby City hall. In the evening, a wedding dance was held at Kolby Park.

After a wedding trip to northern Wisconsin, the couple will be at their home on Highway 13, Dorchester.

Mr. Heindl is employed at the H.&S. Electric shop in Abbotsford. Before her marriage, the bride was employed at the Bauman poultry farm.
