Bucheger, Mark Shawn (26 Sept. 1955 - 4 Nov. 1959)

An Angel Mass was offered in St. Bernard’s Catholic church Saturday morning at 9:00 o’clock for Mark Bucheger, four year old son of Dr. and Mrs. F. J. Bucheger, with the Rev. Raymond Schulz officiating.

Mark lost his life Wednesday afternoon in an automobile collision a mile north of Dorchester corners on Highway 13, when a station wagon, being driven by his mother, was out of control on the slippery road and was struck broadside by another car.

Mrs. Bucheger sustained a fractured pelvis, several fractured vertebrae and multiple bruises. She is receiving treatment at St. Joseph’s hospital at Marshfield.

A rosary service was held at the Polnaszek Funeral Home, Friday evening, beside the body of Mark for the recovery of Mrs. Bucheger and the comfort of the family.

Mark Shawn Bucheger, who was born at the hospital in Watertown, Sept. 26, 1955, lived in Abbotsford all his life. He is survived by his parents and two sisters, Aloise and Diana, at home, his grand parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Bucheger, and Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Wangard, all of Glidden, and numerous uncles and aunts.

Pallbearers for the internment, made in the Abbotsford cemetery, were David Hermann, Abbotsford, Lawrence Bucheger, Neosho, Kenneth Bucheger, Glidden; and Alvin Bucheger, Milwaukee.

Relatives attending the funeral came from Duluth, Glidden, Neosho, Milwaukee, Withee, and Sycamore, Neb.
