Sousa, Mary (19 Jan. 1935 - 4 Nov. 1959)
Mrs. John Phillip Sousa of Milwaukee died Nov. 4, following the birth of a daughter the previous day. Internment was made at Milwaukee.
Mrs. Sousa, the former Mary Pries, was born at Abbotsford Jan. 19, 1935, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Otto Pries. The Pries family moved from here to the town of Greenwood in 1941. Following her graduation from the Rib Lake high school, she was employed in Milwaukee and married Mr. Sousa there, March 7, 1954.
Surviving her are her husband and four children, Lynn Ann, John Philip, Jr., Terry Lee and Susan Joy, her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Pries, town of Greenwood; and three sisters, Mrs. Lester (Shirley) Jones, East Moline, Illinois, Mrs. Royal (Phyllis) Wirt, Palatine, Illinois, and Mrs. Richard (Naomi) Anderson, Racine; and two brothers, Pfc. David Pries, and Michael, at home.
David received leave from his unit stationed in Korea, to attend the funeral.
