Koerner, Martha (9 May 1897 - 22 Dec. 1959)
Mrs. Ervin Koerner, Curtiss, died of a heart attack Tuesday morning, Dec. 15, at the age of 62 years. Funeral services were conducted Saturday at 2:30 in the Curtiss Evangelical Lutheran church, with the Rev. Max E. Wilhelm officiating. Burial was made in the Pine Hill cemetery.
The former Martha Stacke was born in Neillsville, May 9, 1897, and lived in Curtiss most of her adult life. She married Fred Krueger, Jan. 14, 1917. He died in 1920. On Dec. 7, 1940, she married Ervin Koerner who survives her.
Other survivors are two sons, Elroy Krueger, Albuquerque, N.M., and Lester Krueger, Appleton; two daughters, Mrs. Carl (Valorie) Crenant, Chicago, Ill., and Mrs. Fred (Ver Dean) Laabs, Curtiss; seven grand children, four brothers, Herman Stacke, Chicago; Adolph Stacke, Curtiss, William Stack, Wausau, and Walter Stacke, Albuquerque, N.M.; six sisters, Betty Pasquest, Portland, Ore.; Lydia Revis, Dorchester, Louise Olson and Faye Hanson, both of Chicago; Adeline Miller, Curtiss, and Ethel Hansen of Yakima, Wash.; her mother, Mrs. Augusta Stacke, Curtiss.
