Mauritz, John (19 Aug. 1926 - 24 Jan. 1960)
John Mauritz, Dorchester, died at St. Joseph’s hospital, Marshfield, Sunday at the age of 33 years. He was a patient there several days.
Mr. Mauritz was born Aug. 19, 1926, at Athens. He lived in Abbotsford for a number of years, and was employed at Streckert Manufacturing Co. and for the past three years, was employed at the Genrich Fur Farm, Dorchester.
Surviving him are his widow, the former Louela Fix of Granton, whom he married Aug. 16, 1949. There are a daughter, Mary Lou, nine; and two sons, James Russell, eight; and Francis Louis, three, at home. He also leaves a sister, Mrs. Bernard Ellenbecker, of Unity, and a brother, Lawrence, of West Barnstable, Mass.
His parents and one brother preceded him in death.
Funeral services were held this morning at St. Louis Catholic church, Dorchester, with the Rev. Gerald Schuh officiating at the requiem high mass at 10 o’clock. Burial followed in Memorial cemetery.
