Winchell, Delbert M. (28 Aug. 1886 - 16 Apr. 1960)

 

Funeral services for Delbert M. Winchell, 74, of Dorchester, who died Saturday night following a heart attack suffered a week ago, were held Tuesday afternoon at the Salem Evangelical United Brethren church at Dorchester with the Harold Welch officiating. Burial was made in the Dorchester cemetery.

 

Mr. Winchell was born in the town of Mayville, Aug. 28, 1886. On April 3, 1907, he and Miss Clara Krackenberger were united in marriage. They farmed 2 ½ miles northwest of Dorchester on the farm where Mr. Winchell was born.

 

Mrs. Winchell preceded her husband in death Aug. 28, 1958. For the past year and a half, he made his home with his daughter in Dorchester.

 

Surviving him are two sons and three daughters: Donovan, Oak Park, Ill.; and Harold, and Mrs. Nora Lang, Dorchester; Mrs. Max (Verna) Wilke and Mrs. Jack (Eunice) Hater, Medford; 16 grand children and 29 great grand children; a brother, Joel, Dorchester; and two sisters, Mrs. Ada Kayhart, Green Bay and Mrs. Herman Will, Calumet, Minn.

 

Two brothers and a sister also preceded him in death.
