Peterson, Priscilla (Marriage - 4 May 1960)

Miss Priscilla Peterson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Peterson of Abbotsford, rt. 1, became the bride of Narcis Dugenske, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Dugenske, Princeton, Wednesday morning at St. Bernard’s Catholic church, Abbotsford.

Marriage vows were repeated in a double ring ceremony before the 10 o’clock nuptial high mass, sung by the Rev. Raymond B. Schulz.

After the mass, the bride placed a bouquet on the altar of the Blessed Virgin.

The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, wore a gown of flowered lace over taffeta with a chapel train. A satin bustle trimmed with satin rosebuds detailed the back of the very full skirt. The bodice had a square neck line trimmed with sequins and had short sleeves.

Her finger tip veil of silk illusion fell from a beaded crown. She wore lace gauntlets and carried a bouquet of red roses and white carnations.

Attending her as matron of honor was her aunt, Mrs. Lawrence Kunze, and her sister, Miss Beth Peterson was bridesmaid.

Their dresses of blue and yellow were designed alike with full ruffled net skirts over taffeta. They wore net over taffeta jackets and gauntlets with their strapless frocks.

Beaded head-bands and matching veils were worn as headpieces and blue and white carnations and blue and white pompons were arranged in nosegay bouquets.

Pink roses and white carnations were used in the corsages for the mothers, and pink and white carnations for the grand mothers.

Lawrence Kunze was best man and Duane Peterson was groomsman.

Following the ceremony, dinner and supper were served to about 100 guests at the village hall and a reception was held at the home of the bride’s parents.

Guests came from Princeton, Green Lake, Ripon, Colby and Abbotsford.

The bride is a graduate of the Abbotsford high school and has been employed at Ripon.

The new Mr. and Mrs. Dugenske will make their home at Princeton on the groom’s farm.
