Rutan, Sandra (Marriage - 20 Apr. 1960)

Miss Sandra Rutan, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Baxter, rt. 1 Dorchester, and Henry Weiss, son of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Weiss, Abbotsford were united in marriage Saturday, April 20, at Salem Evangelical United Brethren church, Dorchester. The Rev. Harold Welch officiated at the 2 o’clock ceremony.

The bride wore a street length dress of white lace and chiffon over satin, and pinned an orchid corsage at the shoulder.

Miss Marguerite Weiss, sister of the groom, was bridesmaid, and Miss Lorraine Baxter, sister of the bride, was junior bridesmaid. They wore lace dresses in orchid and pink, respectively, and had shoulder corsages of yellow roses.

John Rutan, brother of the bride, was best man.

Festivities following the ceremony included a reception in the church basement and a wedding dance at Memorial Hall, Dorchester.

Mr. and Mrs. Weiss are making their home with his parents on the farm, which he helps operate.
