Kennedy, June J. (30 July 1919 - 31 May 1960)

 

Miss June J. Kennedy, 40, died unexpectedly Tuesday afternoon at St. Joseph’s hospital, Marshfield, where she had been taken Monday.

 

Funeral services will be Friday at 2 p.m. at the First Presbyterian church, Abbotsford, with the Rev. L. F. Faivre officiating. Burial will be made in the Abbotsford cemetery.

 

The body will lie in state at the Polnaszek Funeral Home, Abbotsford, until Friday noon.

 

Miss Kennedy was born July 30, 1919, at Ontario, Wis., and was educated in the Abbotsford schools and at Stout Institute at Menomonie, Wis. She had lived at home with her mother, Mrs. Ruth Kennedy, the past years.

 

Miss Kennedy, in spite of the handicap of the loss of her sight, was very active in community affairs. She participated in Red Cross activities and was Red Cross drive chairman for the past six years. She was also a member of the Holton Homemakers Club and the Auxiliary to the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

 

Miss Kennedy is survived by her mother, Mrs. Ruth Kennedy of Abbotsford, and by a brother, Richard Kennedy of Minneapolis, Minn.

 

Her father, H. D. Kennedy, preceded her in death and also two brothers, Allard and Donald Kennedy.
