Rolf, Eunice Paula (Marriage - 20 Aug. 1960)
Mr. and Mrs. Fredrick Neidhold will make their home in Lincoln, Neb., following a honeymoon trip in northern Wisconsin.
The marriage of Miss Eunice Paula Rolf, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Victor Rolf, of Waconia, Minn., and Fredrick Neidhold, town of Holton, took place at Zion Lutheran Church at Cologne, Minn., on Saturday, Aug. 20, at 4 o’clock.
The Rev. John Rolf, brother of the bride, gave the address and the Rev. John Meichert, pastor of the church, heard their vows.
The bride wore a floor length gown of nylon organza styled with short sleeves, round neckline and a bouffant skirt that extended in a long train. A pearl crown held her veil and white carnations and pink tea roses were combined in her bridal bouquet.
Her attendants were Mrs. Helen Rolf, Red Lake Falls, Minn., sister-in-law of the bride, as matron of honor. Miss Carolyn Meers, St. Charles, Mo., Miss Judy Kennel, Winifred, Kan., Mrs. William Horn, Chicago, sister of the groom, and Miss Margaret Paige, Duluth, cousin of the bride. Three shades of aqua were used in their nylon organdy dresses styled alike with full skirts, short sleeves and low backed bodices with taffeta cummerbunds. They wore matching taffeta headpieces and carried bouquets of pink and white carnations.
Attending the groom as best man was David Bartels, Manawa, a friend, John Neidhold, Dorchester, a cousin, Thomas Ryan, St. Louis, Mo., a friend, William Horn, Chicago, brother-in-law and Victor Rolf, Jr., brother of the bride, completed the bridal party.
The mother of the bride chose a dress of dusty rose crepe and lace. Mrs. Neidhold wore a dress of powder blue acetate and rayon with a woven jacquared design. Both mothers selected full accessories and had a corsage of white baby mums and rose buds.
About 200 guests attended the reception and dinner in the church hall which followed the ceremony. In the evening, a reception was held at the home of the bride’s parents in Waconia.
The groom, a graduate of Luther high school, Chicago, will receive a bachelor’s degree in education at Concordia Teachers College, Seward, Neb., this year. He taught school at Ogallalla, Neb., last year. His bride is a graduate of Bethany Lutheran College, Mankato, Minn., and a 1958 graduate of Concordia College, where she received her bachelor’s degree in education. She will teach at Calaway Lutheran School in Lincoln this fall.
